The 2015 Holiday Season is right around the corner and because of this, industries all around the globe are profiting. One of the largest industries to do so in the video game industry and this year will be no different. Next generation consoles & their video game counterparts will drive sales throughout Northern American as well as Eurasia.
Sony is expected to sell more PlayStation 4 consoles then Microsoft is with their Xbox One. There are multiple reasons as to why this could be the case. The first is that PlayStation now holds exclusive rights over Call of Duty as well as Destiny & Battlefront, this exclusiveness allows for PlayStation to receive downloadable content and premium aspects of these titles a month earlier than any Xbox Owner. That is why it’s also expected that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Destiny: The Taken King and Star Wars Battlefront are slated to be some of the best selling titles this holiday season.
Other games such as Guitar Hero Live, Assassins Creed Syndicate, Fallout 4 and pre-orders for games such as Tom Clancy’s The Division are also slated to be some of the best selling games for this season. Depending on how many consoles are sold this year for the end of the 2015 fourth quarter, it’ll allow for new birth into the PS4 Online Community which has quickly been rising beyond that of Xbox.
Video games will never die, they will only continue to transform their look and you can be ensured that companies such as Sony or Microsoft will be there to breathe fresh air into those new transformations.
